  Morocco: Fez and Marrakech, 2007

There's a secret to Morocco and i'm convinced it speaks through its spices! From scented oils, city-wide prayer calls and intricate Arabic/Berber craft work designs to maze-like streets bustling with the traffic of crowded souks and taxi-ing donkeys, it's easy to get seduced into Morocco's enclave of mystery. Fes, alluring as both a spiritual and medieval city, is reminiscent of the Ali Baba times with over a 100 narrow streets spotted with old craftworkers, metalsmiths and tanneries. Meanwhile, the more modern Marrakech is alive with resorts, hammams and nightclubs. If you want to taste Moroccan culture, visit Djemaa el Fna, Morocco's largest souk and home to off-beat performers and fresh-squeezed juice bars. At night, the square turns into a carnival of food stalls where you can sample fine Moroccan cuisine.
