Anger House , 2002
experimental performative narrative

What does a house shelter? Anger House is a video performance narrative with interchangeable audio versions. It plays upon the premise of a universal shadow, the archetype of a doppleganger...an entity or belief which has the power to protect and destroy the very love which it inhabits...itself.

About the audio: The first audio accompaniment is the sound of dried leaves crunching as a darkened figure under a tree throws a tantrum. The second audio plays a confessional of a woman who is dealing with issues of anger and power; this in turn, creates a brokenness and disjointed subtext . Just as the mind replays thoughts repetitively, the sound design edits itself down to word connections and phrases create dangerous associations.
