Born in Hawaii and being hapa (Japanese, Native Hawaiian, German & Chinese), Christine’s appreciation for cultural diversity began at home, navigating cuisine via chopsticks, poi fingers and western silverware.
As an actress, she has trained under Eric Nemoto and Scott Rogers in while taking commercial acting workshops in New York. In dance performance she has trained under Cheryl Flaherty and Lori Ohtani, while attending workshops with Mark Morris and butoh masters. She comes from a strong video, visual arts and performance background, having been a dancer with Iona Dance Theater and an exhibiting her video works both, nationally and internationally.
Christine holds an MFA in Computer Arts & Video at School of Visual Arts in New York and a BAFA in Fine Arts at University of Southern California.
Off-camera, Christine has lived in Los Angeles, St.Louis, and most prominently in New York, working as a camera operator and field producer for MTV, BET, VH1, Food Network, producing for popular docu-reality shows. She spent a year in Daegu, South Korea, as an English elementary teacher, where she later backpacked solo for 7 months through Asia and Southeast Asia.
An avid traveler, she is also a travel blogger, photographer and youTube vlogger, who documents her journeys, offers travel survival tips and advice to those who wish to embrace travel with a little grit. She has a growing following and is available for speaking engagements.
She is a certified yoga teacher and PADI scuba diver, still enjoys dance, kickboxing, boxing and hiking.
