Writ -a video & audio performance about cleansing and confessions. A dancer performs with a silk scarf which is reminiscent of water , yet also a device for self-strangulation. Silk is the audio composition performed independently and inclusive of the video.

What is the mystique of a woman? Bound to emotion, mutable like water, a woman is capable of subtle shifts & transformations in personality & character. Silk was initially comprised of 4 female voices, each speaking different lines of text taken from random pages of Anais Nin's, House of Incest. However, as every woman has the capability to be one woman, the audio was gradually edited down to create one internal dialogue.
